Dubuque On-Street Bike Routes and Signage Proposal

Download the Proposal | View the Map

The On-Street Bike Route and Signage Proposal was drafted by the Resilient Community Advisory Commission Transportation and Land Use subcommittee with members of Tri-State Trail Vision and recommended for implementation by the full commission at its November 2021 meeting.

Proposed routes were established using the Tri-State Integrated Walking, Biking, Hiking Network Plan to identify the following:

○ Routes currently used by cyclists but are not part of the official signed network

○ Routes listed in the Trail Plan as high priority for on-street connections but have not been signed

○ Low traffic streets that are parallel to routes identified in the plan and can provide the necessary connections with decreased vehicle/cyclist interaction

The establishment of these routes help to support Complete Streets implementation and provide essential East to West and North to South connections to the existing trail network.
